Cosmopolis is a biennial platform launched by the Center Pompidou devoted to research based artistic practices rooted in forms of cultural translation alongside ideas of cosmopolitanism.

Cosmopolis #1.5: Enlarged Intelligence is the second major exhibition associated with the platform. The main exhibition designed by OLI used a notion of an endless open exhibition, a constellation of works by 60 living artists from more than 20 countries. Housed in a warehouse space that is part of a former electronics factory in the “Eastern Suburb Memory” of Chengdu, the exhibition explores how we may draw on intelligent technologies as well as on ecological intelligence to advance social values and cultural transformation. The project features work commissioned for Cosmopolis, and interactive environments and installations, alongside research-based artworks of many forms.
